Ignition Coil Tester

Description:

Applicable on coil-on-plug (COP), coil-near- plug (CNP), double ended coil-on-plug(DECOP) or wasted plug systems.

Simple operation:

Connect power from 12Volts car battery and the power LED will light up.
Insert the yellow banana plug to the yellow socket and connect the cable to the control terminal of the ignition coil.
Hook up the spark tester to the ignition coil.
Turn ON the frequency know and adjust the frequency from low to high (clockwise).
Turn back to low frequency and observe the spark color which should be bluish purple.
Increase the frequency gradually and observe the spark line.
It should be in a straight line when NORMAL. If the spark line is curved, it indicates that the coil is aging or there is an internal leakage.
Turn to maximum frequency until the coil is slightly warm, then turn down the frequency and observe the spark line
whether it is continuous or intermittent. If arcing sound is heard but no spark indicates that there is internal leakage.

Feature:

V-checker T701 circuit tester can check the cable assembly signal from 0~36V with accuracy 0.1V. When the signal voltage is over 36V, the LCD screen will show icon ">>". The tester's waveform range is from 0-12V. When the tester leaves the cable, the waveform will be enlarged and the LCD displays 0.4s actual waveform. Description

Features

COP Ignition Quickly Tester ADD750

Description

The quick tester works by receiving a signal from the secondary ignition coil. Once the signal is received, the tester determines if the COP is producing the correct amount of voltage and the duration of the arc. If the voltage is correct, the tester beeps and the red LED light flashes; and if the duration of the arc is correct, the green LED will also flash.

Test Results:

Red LED Light
Consistent, steady flashing and beeping indicates the COP is producing the correct amount of voltage.No response or an inconsistent response indicates the COP is NOT producing the correct amount of voltage. This may be caused by one of the following:

How To Use

1. After cleaning the probe, put it in dry air or immerse it into new brake fluid.
2.Press down the work button for 3-5 seconds continously, and then turn the fine tuning clockwise until the second green indicator lights on, and then turn the fine tuning counter-clockwisely until the green indicator put out. Now it can be used to test brake fluid.
3.Immerse the probe into the brake fluid, and press down the work button for a few seconds, then you can judge the brake fluid state by indicator light.

All the green light indicate the brake fluid is fine, the water content is below 0.5%
Yellow light indicates the fluid is not so good, the water content is above 0.5%, you can choose to change brake fluid.

Description

The KV Ignition system quick tester ADD 760 is designed to work on distributor and DIS systems, and it can quick measure KV value of the secondary ignition and compare peak kV, or verify the proper firing of the secondary ignition system.
Quick tester battery Operated and easy to use, simply place the probe over the ignition wire.
Each time the tester detects a spark firing, it will flash the Super Bright LED strobe indicating a spark-firing event with sufficient arc duration. Then press the button and the unit measures and displays peak kV on the LCD display. Super Bright LED strobe allows the user to determine if the secondary ignition is firing consistently, intermittently misfiring, or not firing at all. Indicates spark polarity on DIS systems. Detect problems caused by faulty wires, plugs, cap, rotor, coil(s), etc.

Quick Check Mode

To enter the Quick Check Mode, simply turn the tester on. The tester automatically enters this mode when it is powered on.
During this mode, the red and green LEDs alternately flash once every second until a spark is detected.
Once a spark is detected, the Red LED light flashes and the red or the green LED lights to show the polarity.

Notes

If the tester does not detect a spark after 30 seconds, it automatically turns off.
The Quick Check Mode may not detect spark voltage less than 5 kV. Use the Measurement Mode to verify.

Measurement Mode

During this mode, the red and green LEDs stay lit while the tester measures the peak spark voltage (for approximately 10 to 15 seconds).
When the tester finishes a measurement, it will do all of the following:
The tester emits a beeping sound
The headlight flashes 3 times
The corresponding polarity LED lights
LCD displays the current KV reading for 15 seconds

Ignition Coil & HV Lead Current Leakage Tester

When the ignition system under high voltage, the parts of the system is ageing, high voltage circuit would do by shorter or smaller resistor, and caused the ignition system decline the effect or damage. The spark is show suddenly and not easy to find because the angle reason.
To use this product can check for a HV leakage in an ignition system.

It's easy to use. Only connect the power wire according to the colors ( red wire connect to positive+ of battery, black to negative- ). It can be rapidly judged and quickly responded from the tester if the part is aged or cracked. If the LED is flashing or lighting, electric leakage has occurred.
We can judge the condition of spark by using the spark tester. The normal spark distance is 2cm, and the shape is straight with violet blue color. The coil is aged if the spark is either red or curved. Different types of coil require different distance of the spark tester. The more cylinder pressure, the more distance of spark tester. The spark gap distance is determined by the cylinder pressure.
